The APC candidate for House of Representatives, Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency of Abia State, Chief Daniel Okeke has sponsored the surgery for umbilical herniorrhaphy on a six-year-old boy, Joseph Ogwo Kalu.
He also brought relief to young Joseph Ogwo Kalu’s family by offsetting his outstanding hospital bill at FMC Umuahia.
Young Joseph Ogwo’s family hails from Ututu in Arochukwu LGA Abia State, says Oti Maduabuchi Orieji, special assistant to Chief Okeke on Media and Publicity.
The gesture came under Chief Okeke’s medical outreach programme.
The father of the patient, Mr Ifere Ogwo Kalu thanked chief Daniel Okeke for his show of kindness and philanthropic gesture towards his family and prayed God to bless him in his future endeavour. “Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy ” he stated.
“Arochukwu/Ohafia constituents equally thanked him for investing in the health of the less privileged through his Omereoha annual free medical outreach.
“It has become an annual procedure to sponsor surgeries for the less privileged and give free medical treatment in his constituency,’ he added.
