COVID-19: UNIBEN Postpone Resumption Date Indefinitely

The University of Benin has extended its resumption date till further notice due to the continuous spread of the deadly COVID-19 globally.

The tertiary institution made this known at the official Facebook page of its Public Relations Office in a letter signed by the P.R.O, Benedicta Ehanire, PhD.

According to the letter, ‘In the wake of continued uncertainties regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, and in line with the Federal Ministry of Education that no date has been fixed for the reopening of schools, the management of the University of Benin has extended resumption by staff and students until further notice.

‘It is important to point out that staff on essential duties including health workers, security, fire service and utilities ( electricity and water), are to continue to make necessary sacrifices while observing all the safety rules.
