The Lagos State High Court, Ikeja’s Justice Yetunde Rukayat Pinheiro has set March 7 as the date for hearing all outstanding applications in the lawsuit brought by former State House Assembly Speaker Mudashiru Obasa.
Obasa had dragged the state government and the assembly to court over what he termed unlawful removal.
The lawsuit, filed on February 14, 2025, also names the current Speaker, Lasbat Mojisola Meranda, as the defendant.
At today’s proceeding, members of the assembly loyal to the current speaker, Meranda, have filed an application seeking to be joined as defendants in the suit.
