A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has disqualified Barr. Chijioke Edeoga as the candidate of the Labour Party for Enugu State in the 2023 general election.
ABN TV gathered that Barr. Edeoga’s election was nullified on Wednesday after weeks of legal battle with another Labour Party candidate.
Edeoga and Capt. Evarest Nnaji, popularly known as Odengene, have been having a running battle over the rightful governorship candidate of the Labour Party since both men defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after the May 25, 2022 primary election.

At the moment, it is still unclear whether Barr. Edeoga will appeal the judgement even as the supporters Capt. Nnaji have celebrating following the court judgement.
