Court Awards N200,000 Cost Against FG In Favour Of Nnamdi Kanu’s Co-Defendants (Photos, Video)

Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday awarded N50,000 cost in favour of the four co-defendants of leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, amounting to N200,000.

The Presiding Judge, Justice Binta Nyako held that this cost of time-wasting and unnecessary stress.

According to Binta Nyanko, the case has been on hearing since 2015 and has lacked justification as the federal government keeps stressing the case further.

Recall that the co-defendants, Bright Chimezie, David Nwawuisi, Benjamin Madubugwu and Chidiebere Onwudiwe were arrested and detained for years.

They were released on bail since 2017, while the case suffer delay till date.

Meanwhile, the case was on Wednesday adjourned till 17th March, 2022 as Justice Binta Nyanko promised to finalise the hearing on the adjourned date.
