COSEYL Commiserates With Ikpeazu Over Deputy Chief of Staff’s Death

The apex socio-political youth organization in the South East geopolitical zone, Coalition of South East Youth Leaders, COSEYL, has commiserated with the governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu over the death of his his Deputy Chief of Staff, Chief Ukpai Agwu Ukpai who passed on in the early hours of Tuesday.

Describing Ukpai’s death as shocking, painful, and a monumental loss to the nation, the people and government of Abia State and the Ukpai’s family, COSEYL in a statement on Friday signed by Hon. Goodluck Egwu Ibem, President General and Comrade Kanice Igwe, Secretary General added that the late Ukpai was a patriotic citizen, who contributed remarkably to the smooth and successful running of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s administration.

While urging Governor Ikpeazu to take solace in the quality of life lived by Ukpai and his exemplary contribution to the current administration, COSEYL says the state and the immediate community of the deceased would remember him for many years to come, praying Almighty God to grant the soul of late Ukpai Agwu eternal rest and comfort the families he left behind the fortitude.

The statement partly read, “We received the sad news of the death of Chief Ukpai, an astute public servant with a heavy heart. Ukpai was a dedicated Nigerian, a deeply committed and patriotic citizen, who contributed remarkably to the smooth and successful running of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s administration.

“Ukpai was a conscientious, competent, cerebral and outstanding administrator whose life transversed the fields of administration and politics.

“Ukpai’s death is a great loss to Abia, happening at a time the state is desirous of more deeply patriotic individuals to contribute selflessly towards the development of the State.

“As human beings, the death of a close ally will be painful and devastating, but we must always look back at the beautiful moments one shared with the deceased as well as the legacy left behind by such individual. Therefore Governor okezie should find comfort in the good works done by the late Ukpai.
