Abia state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs,Rt.Hon. Prince Christopher Enweremadu has visited a chieftain of PDP and one of the governorship aspirants in the state on the platform of PDP, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe popularly known as Don Lulu.
He visited his Umuawa Alaocha country home in Umuahia North local government area where he said the aim of the visit is to deepen consultation with Mr. Igbokwe, an UN Mayor of Peace on ways forward for the state.
In his reaction, Mayor Igbokwe described the commissioner as a friend, promising to officially address his teeming supporters in the coming days as well as unveil his next line of action to them.
The visit may not be unconnected with the fallout of the governorship primary election of the PDP in the State in which Lucky Igbokwe came second.
The primary election which produced Prof. Uche Ikonne as the governorship candidate of PDP in the State was characterized by withdrawal of aspirants, including Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe who eventually defected to Labour Party.
