Come Out To Ensure Good Leaders Emerge, Protest Over Bad Roads In Aba Not Enough, Udensi Tells NBA

Interpol Systems Consultant in Nigeria, Sir Chikwe Udensi has called on the Aba branch of Nigerian Bar Association, NBA to mobilise their members and ensure that good leaders emerge as 2023 election approaches, noting that the planned protest over the bad state of roads in Aba and environs is not enough.

While noting that protest is their fundamental rights as citizens, Udensi said he does not see how it will address the leadership deficit the state has suffered for sometime now.

Speaking on a radio programme, Open Parliament on Family Love FM Umuahia on Wednesday monitored by ABN TV, Sir Udensi said apart from the possibility of the now-suspended planned strike being hijacked, there are not guarantees that it would yield anything.

The NBA Aba branch has earlier planned to stage a peaceful protest over the bad state of roads but were persuaded to give the state government the benefit of doubt to act on the road.

Following this agreement, NBA suspended the planned strike.

Udensi also pointed that leadership in the country is part of the problem and not just the leadership.

He knocked the government of Abia for lying to the people that SETRACO Construction company is working while they are nowhere in the state.

According to Udensi, information from a top official of SETRACO indicates that there is no work going on there, alleging that the officials of government may have deceived the governor into believing that the construction giant is in Abia working.
