Top Italian sports daily La Gazzetta dello Sport in its publication on Tuesday said Samuel Chukwueze has proved his €28million worth to AC Milan.
One of the tasks that Portuguese coach Paulo Fonseca faces early in his AC Milan tenure is getting the best out of players who perhaps did not have a leading role last season.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport reports, Fonseca is attempting to relaunch three players who did not seem central to the project coming into preseason: Samuel Chukwueze, Alexis Saelemaekers and Noah Okafor.

Admittedly, Chukwueze did end last season on the up and – after the flashes in the Champions League group (two goals against Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle) – from mid-March to mid-May he consistently showed why he is worth the cash the Italian club paid Villarrel.
After his first season at Milan characterised by several injuries, an African Cup of Nations, and much criticism, Chukwueze is proving to be worth the famous €20m plus €8m in bonuses that the Rossoneri club invested in him 12 months ago now.
A month ago, the winger thus began a mission to redeem himself and he did so with the belief that the change on the bench would allow him to find more opportunities, given that there is a clean slate for everyone.
In his debut against Rapid Vienna he showed a couple of interesting runs, but he left the best for the tour of the United States with the two carbon copy assists for Lorenzo Colombo against Manchester City and the decisive goal in the victory against Real Madrid.
The conditions for having a high-level season are all there, especially if the Portuguese coach were to use Pulisic more as an attacking midfielder than as a winger, thus entrusting the keys of the right wing to Chukwueze.
