National President of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Chris Isiguzo has been returned unopposed for a fresh tenure in office, ABN TV reports.
This follows the late withdrawal of his opponent in the race for the position of National President of NUJ.
Isiguzo had faced court litigations before the conference day following an interim order barring the union from holding the conference.
It was however set aside by National Industrial Court sitting in Ibadan, Oyo State capital on Wednesday.
Earlier, some stakeholders had raised concern on the safety of Abia State, the chosen venue for the 7th Triennial Delegates Conference.
