Chairman/CEO CAADES Group and Founder Ofuji Movement, Dr. Chima Anyaso has called for prayers for Abia and Nigerian leaders, extolling the governor of the state, Alex Otti for putting the state on a path of progress.
Speaking on Wednesday at the second edition of his annual Iriji Ofuji, a new yam festival he is hosting to mark the success of the planting and harvest season, especially of yam.
While noting that the state governor, Otti means well for Abians, he commended the governor for making measurable progress in a short while in piloting the affairs of the state.
While calling for patience among Abians, Dr. Anyaso also appealed to the Governor to pay close attention to the yearnings of the people stressing that his government is the government of the people as he was chosen by the people.
He said the second edition of the yam festival which took place at his home town Ahuoma Villa, Onu Ibina Igbere in Bende local government area of Abia State is also in appreciation to God for liberating the state.
Anyaso commended the deputy speaker of the house of Representatives Hon Benjamin Kalu for his new responsibility with great strides.
He urged Kalu to be close to the people, feel their pulse, pay attention to their needs, aspirations, and work tirelessly by using his good office to bring more dividends of democracy to the people of Bende.
Who was a deputy governorship candidate in the 2023 election in the state congratulated the YPP family for a courageous outing during the last election adding that the party was seen, heard, and felt across the state.
“We are to become even stronger and resolute in pursuit of a working Abia.
“I want to encourage all our members to remain calm and focused on making Abia better in our little capacities as citizens”
“My principal Engr Chima Nwafor and I will always carry everyone along in our feature plans and decision” adding that they will continue to support the communities, empowering the youths and providing support to the old and needy.
Hon Ibe on behalf of the people of Obingwa and the YPP family congratulated Anyaso stating that he has shown leadership, capacity and has also shown the need for one to love each other adding that the Almighty God will use him in the state and country at large.
Speaking on behalf of the Echeme Age Grade which happens to be Anyaso’s Age Grade, Uche Henry Kalu said it is a thing of joy to join in the celebration of iri ji ofuji to thank God for life.
Briefing ABN TV, Anyaso said the event has always been his dream which is seen as a dream come through.
He said it is an annual event which started last year and will continue every year with the help of God adding that iriji ofuji has come to stay.
He urged the youths to do the right thing and remain upright and forthright as there is dignity in labour which pays.
He thanked the people of Bende for their support during the elections he has contested in the past, encouraging them to remain steadfast and prayerful.
Dignitaries that graced the occasion includes HRH Eze Joseph Anyanta, Hon Fyne Ahuoma member representing Osisioma South State Constituency, Hon Iheanacho Nwaogwu member representing Osisioma North State Constituency, Hon Ibe Micheal Nwoko, Igbere welfare union members, Echeme Age Grade amongst others.
Highlights of the event are Thanksgiving praises to God for a successful harvest, the Ohafia war dance display, cutting of cake, and others.
