In a an effort to boost their capital base and give their businesses a new look, Sir Chikwe Udensi Foundation, Build A New Abia, BANA in collaboration with BANA Women’s Forum, Rotary Club Abuja Downtown, Rotary Club of Umungasi Aba as well as Rotary Club of Arochukwu Downtown will roll out Aba petty traders’ welfare/cash support this month.
This is in continuation of similar support to petty traders in other local government areas in the state.
Sir Udensi, a front runner in Abia governorship race and Interpol Systems Consultant had earlier announced that the traders’ support fund will go round the 17 local government areas of the state.
The programme will hold in Aba on March 31, 2022 at BANA House, former Barter House.
Recall that Sir Udensi had earlier completed retirees and old persons’ palliative disbursement in the 17 local governments areas of Abia where he decried on the level of depravity and negligence senior citizens face in the state.
He had upon completion of the assignment assured that if elected Abia governor, he will create a commission to take care of the vulnerable in the Abia and ensure their sound state of health.
He also promised to repeat same project upon the completion of the ongoing traders’ support disbursement.
Sir Udensi insists that the support programmes have nothing to do with 2023 election, maintaining that the welfare of people around him had always remained a source of concern to him.
