A chieftain of All Progressives Congress, APC in Abia State, Chief Amobi Ogah has congratulated former Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika (Rtd) at the occasion of his birthday celebration, describing him as a true patriot.
Amobi, an aspirant for Isuikwuato/Umunneochi federal constituency in the 2019 election while extolling the former COAS for his selfless service as a top military personnel who presided over the nation’s Army said General Ihejirika’s (Rtd) tenure was characterised with several records of milestone in the fight against insurgency.
In a birthday message on Sunday, Chief Amobi Ogah, a philanthropist and the CEO Pauli Mama Group noted that General Ihejirika (Rtd) contributed his youthful age fighting for the unity and peaceful co-existence of the entire nation and keeping the rest of the country safe.
“I congratulate one of Abia’s finest gentlemen, a peaceful and honest man who committed his all in fighting for the country he dearly loves.
“We your kinsmen cannot forget in a hurry how you presided over our nation’s Army at a difficult period when insurgency held our dear country by the jugular.
“It is on record that you gave the monstrous enemies of our nation a bloody nose, keeping them running from the dreaded force you visited on them.
“You are a personification of strength, doggedness, resilience and fearlessness. You have served your fatherland with diligence, utmost dignity and pride.
“I am proud of your records of achievement, for which I believe history will be very kind to you.
“As you become a year older today, heaven shall strengthen you to continue giving your best for the development of our dear state Abia and nation at large” Chief Amobi noted.
