Hours after dumping his former party, the APC, the Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency 2019 aspirant, Chief Amobi Ogah has joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State.
In a letter of membership resignation addressed to his ward 8 chairman in Uturu, on the 17th March 2022, he said his resignation has become important following pressure from his supporters which he said he found justifiable.
Hours later, Chief Amobi Ogah was seen perfecting his membership of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state along with his group of supporters in Uturu, Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State.
The Ward 8 Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon Romanus Iroogaraya was present to accept Chief Amobi into the party with some of his excos.
He is expected to contest for Isuikwuato/Umunneochi federal constituency on the platform of PDP where he will slug it out with Hon. Nkeiru Onyejeocha who will in 2023 clock 16 years in the House of Representatives.
With the announcement of commencement of sale of nomination and expression of interest forms of the PDP for various elective positions, he will in coming days land the Wadata House of the PDP National Secretariat to obtain his forms in readiness for primaries and general elections.
The councilor representing the good people of ward 8, Onyegbule Godwin Oga was also present while Chief Amobi was being received into the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
