A former House of Representatives candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency, Abia state Mr Charles Nzechi has condoled with the family of Okwaraji over the death of Lady Janet Okwaraji.
Lady Okwaraji’s death on Sunday coincided with two years after Mr Nzechi paid her a visit in her home at Abakpa Nike in Enugu state.
The late matriarch who passed on at the age of 83 was the mother of Samuel Okwaraji, late Green Eagles football star who slumped and dies on the football field during an international match between Nigeria and Angola on August 12, 1987, in international stadium Surulere.
Mr Nzechi in a release on Thursday while describing Lady Okwaraji as a true patriot whose sacrifice for the Nigerian sporting world cannot be quantified prayed for God to accept her gentle soul.
He also prayed to God to give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
