The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (Aka The Forum), a Social Organisation based in Umuahia, Abia State, has inaugurated its Board of Trustees with Industrialist, Prince Emeka Urechukwu, GMD/CEO, Saclux Industries Group emerging as Chairman of the Board.
Other Members of the Board inaugurated at a virtual meeting held on Thursday, May 4, 2023 include Member of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, Abia State Head of Service, Sir Onyii Wamah, Construction titan, Engr. Emeka Udokporo and Health Specialist, Dr. Nkem Okoroafor.
In a release after the inauguration, the President of the Association, Barr. Sam Hart stated that the Board of Trustees Members were selected for their contributions and commitment to the stated goals of the Association.

The Association, formed over three years ago, has as its objectives, promoting the social welfare of its Members and engaging in charitable activities in Abia State and beyond.
Originally formed to support Members who are bereaved to cushion the associated expenses, the group has since expanded its activities to paying of hospital bills of indigent patients in hospitals in Abia State, donating relief materials to charity homes as well as sundry charitable deeds.
With about 70 Members consisting of businessmen, professionals, and entrepreneurs resident in Abia State, other parts of Nigeria, and the Diaspora, the group has emerged one of the most formidable Social Organisations in Abia State boasting as Members, successful politicians, professionals, and business titans.
The current President of the Registered Association is Sam Hart, a Lawyer and Development Specialist with IT mogul, Dr. Pastra Arinze Etie as Secretary-General and City Banker, Austin Akuma as Treasurer/Exchequer.
The Group holds monthly health walks and fitness training/seminars for it’s Members and has a flagship End of Year series of activities where it engages in multiple charitable deeds.
Accepting their nomination on behalf of the newly inaugurated Board of Trustees, the Chairman, Prince Emeka Urechukwu expressed their gladness to accept the offer and nomination to serve as Board of Trustees Members of The Forum. In his words, “looking at the quality of men nominated by this noble House, we will discharge the duties assigned to us with utmost sincerity and diligence”.
In his congratulatory message to the newly inaugurated Board, the President of the Association, Barr Sam Hart stated thus “On behalf of the EXCO, we pledge our loyalty to and support for the Board. We will treat your guidances and suggestions with utmost respect and accord you your due honour at all times. We look forward to your input to take our noble Forum to even greater heights. Accept our congratulations”
The Association is currently screening applications for new Members who will be inducted during it’s End of year Annual General Meeting and gala in December. Membership screening is rigorous and starts with nomination and guarantee by existing Members.
