A shocking case of car theft has been reported in Umuahia, Abia State, leaving Barr Mary Ahudiya Megwara, Director of the Mediation Department at the Ministry of Justice, distraught.
ABN TV gathered that her Jeep Toyota RAV4 2000 model, green in color, with plate number Lagos JJJ-458BS, engine number 35-6970970, and chassis number JT3 HP 10 V6 x 7129804, was stolen on Sunday while she attended service at His Glory Methodist Church on Palm Lane Extension road Umuahia.
According to Barr Mary, she parked her car at 9 am and discovered it was missing when she came out at 12 noon. In a surprising twist, someone spotted the car along Ubakala road later that day, initially thinking it was her brother driving. Unbeknownst to them, the theft had just occurred.
Barr Mary has already reported the incident at the Central Police Station (CPS) in Umuahia, and the police have commenced their investigation. The authorities are urging anyone with information about the stolen vehicle to come forward and assist in recovering the car.
