Leader of APC in Abia state, Sen. Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu in what appears to be a demonstration of his closeness to the people of the state on Friday held Aba residents spellbound when he thrilled them with the cultural Ohafia war dance to their amazement.

ABN TV reports that the Senate Chief Whip was in Aba in continuation of the ongoing campaign of APC in the upcoming Aba North/South bye-election.

Senator Kalu at the event promised that the APC will facilitate the construction of no fewer than 10 roads if the party’s candidate in the election, Hon. Mascot Uzor Kalu is elected.

According to the former Abia governor, the party will replicate the success story that characterised his tenure as governor when most of the roads in Aba were constructed.

He took a swipe at the PDP government that succeeded him in the state, accusing them of failure to maintain the roads or construct new ones, attributing it to why road infrastructure is in decay in the commercial city.

He however gave them hope, assuring them that the APC leadership is poised to re-writing the wrongs of the PDP in Aba North/South federal constituency.

The APC leader urged the federal constituency to massively vote for the candidate of APC in the election, Hon. Mascot Uzor Kalu, assuring them that he will bring dividends of democracy the same way APC representatives in Abia North have converted their constituencies to construction sites.

Hon. Mascot Uzor Kalu will on March 27, 2021 square it up with the candidate of PDP, Mr. Ebisike, and APGA candidate, Mr. Destiny Akara Nwagwu.

All the candidates have since commenced their campaigns.

The seat became vacant following the death of Hon. Ossy Prestige (APGA) the former Aba North/South federal constituency representative in a German hospital earlier this year.
