Ex-President Buhari visited Jigawa on Tuesday to offer his condolences to victims of the tanker explosion in Majia town, which killed over 185 people.
During the visit, the former President visited Rasheed Shekoni Specialist Hospital in Dutse to meet with the surviving patients receiving treatment.
Buhari donated the sum of N10 million to support the victims and their families.
The ex-President expressed sadness over the incident and prayed for the repose of the deceased.
He commiserated with the Jigawa State Government, Federal Government, and Muslim Ummah.
Responding, Acting Governor Aminu Usman Gumel, who received the former President on behalf of the governor, thanked Buhari for the visit and the donation.
He assured that the funds would be used judiciously.
