President Muhammadu Buhari has joined dozens of other African leaders in Washington DC, United States for a summit aimed at rebooting US relations on the continent.
The US-Africa summit, the first since 2014, is the biggest international gathering in Washington since the pandemic and the most substantial commitment by a US administration in boosting its influence in Africa for almost a decade.
According to the US government, ‘the summit will demonstrate the US enduring commitment to Africa and will underscore the importance of US-Africa relations and increased cooperation on shared priorities.”
