The blood sample of a two-year-old girl who showed what appeared like symptoms of coronavirus and that of a 27-year-old lady sent to NCDC has finally emerged.
The results in a statement signed and made available to ABN TV by Onyebuchi Ememanka, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu are negative.
“Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has just received the results of two samples sent from Abia to the NCDC Test Facility in Ebonyi State.
“The first is that of a two-year-old girl while the other is a 27-year-old lady. They earlier showed what looked like symptoms of the disease whereupon their samples were taken for examination at the test facility.
“To the glory of God Almighty, both tests returned NEGATIVE” he said.
He also added that the Governor is thankful to God and urges the people of Abia State to continue to observe the best hygienic practices and social distancing, saying the state looks up to God for protection from this pandemic.
