A high ranking member of President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet has died of coronavirus complications, investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloye reports.
According to the updates from the veteran journalist, there is an attempt to hide the death of the said government official. She disclosed that she is being held back from releasing the name of the said official because of her value for ‘national security’.
However, Kemi urged the federal government to come out honourably with the truth and not play games with the country the way it happened during the death of former President Musa Yar’Adua.
She tweeted; “#BREAKING A HIGH RANKING member of President Buhari’s Cabinet has DIED of #CoronaVirus #Covid9 complications. I will give the feds the honor of announcing it. U cannot hide it like Yar’Adua. I’m not telling because I value NATIONAL SECURITY OF NIGERIA”.
The Federal government is yet to respond to Kemi Olunloyo’s wild claims. Nigeria has so far recorded 174 coronavirus cases, 9 recoveries and 2 deaths.
