Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has ordered the release of the 22 Staff of Exxon Mobil arrested for violating the State Executive Order restricting movement in the state.
Their release was made known on Sunday morning by the Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice of the State, Professor Zaccheus Adangor.
The Rivers State Justice Commissioner revealed that the Exxon staff were released without charges.
He said due to the interventions by well-meaning Nigerians the Rivers State Government will no longer press charges against them., following interventions by well-meaning Nigerians.
Professor Adangor revealed that he personally monitored the release of the 22 Exxon Mobil at the State Isolation Centre at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt.
ABN TV recalls that the 22 staff were arrested for entering the state in violation of the border closure ordered by Governor Wike on Thursday, 16 April.
