Resident male students of Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (IBB) hostel at the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU), are currently scampering for safety, as their hostel is reported to be burning fiercely, ABN TV reports.
According to numerous eyewitnesses, the cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be ascertained but the major problem faced was that there were no firefighters around and no water available to put out the fire.
People stood-by watching while the students’ belongings burned in the inferno. As at the time of this report, there is no news yet from the school management concerning the incident.
No casualty has been recorded at the time of this report.
