Brazil Announces Dorival Junior’s Dismissal As Head Coach

The Confederation of Brazilian Football (CBF) announced on Friday that Dorival Junior had been fired as coach of Brazil, three days after the team suffered a crushing 4-1 World Cup qualifying loss to fierce rivals Argentina.

“Dorival Junior is no longer in charge of the Brazilian national team. The management thanks him and wishes him success for the rest of his career,” the CBF said in a statement.
