Debola Okunneye, the deceased’s son, confirmed the news on Monday, saying, “Yes, my father died this morning, and we are making preparations for his burial.”
A friend and coworker of the deceased, merely known as a Lastborn, confirmed the news as well.
Lastborn, the Secretary of Beach Nigeria Enterprises, a vehicle hire service based at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos, where the late Okunneye was a director, also verified that the deceased will be buried according to Islamic rituals by 4 p.m. today.
‘You did see it. “He will be buried by 4 p.m. today,” Lastborn affirmed.
Okunneye, a native of Ogun state’s Ijebu-Igbo, will be laid to rest in his hometown.
