Bloomberg Ranks Dangote Africa’s Richest Man, Bill Gates 4th In World

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Group, has maintained his position as Africa’s richest man despite a changing Nigerian naira versus the dollar.

Dangote’s fortune was estimated at an astonishing $15.6 billion in the newly issued daily top billionaire rankings on Tuesday, putting him at the top of the Index’s list of African billionaires.

With fortunes of $219 billion and $194 billion, respectively, Ellon Musk and Bernard Arnault are the world’s richest people. Jeff Bezos ranks third with a net worth of $151 billion, followed by Microsoft CEO Bill Gates with a net worth of $130 billion, and Larry Ellison ranks fifth with a net value of $130 billion.

Despite the instability of the Nigerian currency, Dangote’s repeated status as Africa’s richest person demonstrates his successful commercial operations and investments across a wide range of industries.
