Members of a Coalition of Northern group have approached a Federal High Court in Abuja seeking the exit of the South-East from Nigeria
The group appealed to the court to compel federal lawmakers to act on the matter before the conclusion of the ongoing constitutional amendment.
ABN TV learned that the members namely Aminu Adam, Sulaiman Abdulaziz, and Nastura Ashir Shariff, explained that the move was necessary to avoid further violence and destruction from the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
They also explained that if not handled quickly, another civil war could happen.

In response to the development, some lawyers from the South East namely; Chuks Muoma, Ukpai Ukairo, Ebere Uzoatu, and Obi Emuka, applied to be joined as defendants in the suit.
They seek to be representatives of the people of the southeastern region. The Igbo lawyers said they had interest to protect in the suit, hence, their request to be made defendants.
