Kanunta Kanu, younger brother of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) says the Eastern Security Network (ESN) will continue to defend persons living in the South of Nigeria against criminals.
ESN, the controversial security outfit of IPOB created by Nnamdi Kanu in December 2020 has always maintained that it is ‘wading off the bandits and killer herdsmen in our forests and communities who are also pursuing the Fulanisation agenda’.
IPOB officials also say that the ESN’s mandate is to stop the murderous herdsmen among the Fulanis. Now, Kanunta Kanu has expressed his confidence in ESN.
“#IPOB is always right. They don’t want our vigilante group #ESN in #Biafraland, but they’re recruiting more than 3000 vigilantes in the North for what?
“We don’t need anybody to defend our people #ESN will do that and #Biafraland will not be like Agwatyap people of Kaduna State,” Kanu wrote on his known Twitter handle on Wednesday.
