At least five beneficiaries of Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation’s scholarship scheme on Sunday departed Nigeria for Venezuela in South America where they will study medicine and surgery.
They beneficiaries were selected on merit following their outstanding performances in WAEC.
They include, Favour Chimeremeze Chukwu, Tukur Ana’s Ahmad, Ikenna Marvellous Kanu-Ubah, Chika Onwuka Mark and Prince Kingseed Chiziterem.
They had along with their parents at the weekend visited the founder of the Foundation, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, the Chief Whip of the Senate in Abuja.
Their visit may have been to express gratitude to the former governor for his kind gesture in facilitating their academic pursuit.
Taking to his verified Facebook account to congratulate the awardees, Sen.
