Bandits have killed eight farmers in Buruku and Udawa villages of Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The victims were attacked while working on their farmland.
The two villages located along Kaduna-Birnin Gwari highway have been under constant attacks.
A resident of the area and a community leader Muhammed Umar confirmed the attacks on Saturday.
“Five farmers were killed in Buruku while three were killed in Udawa. We are tired of burying our men daily. We need help,” he said.
When contacted, the State Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Jalige Mohammed, confirmed the attacks but said the command was yet to confirm the actual number of people killed.
