SP Bala Elkana has taken over as the new Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO Imo State Police Command.
He replaces SP Ikeokwu Godson Orlando who has been redeployed to Ondo State Police Command.
A statement signed by the immediate past PPRO of Imo State Police Command, SP Ikeokwu Godson Orlando says SP Bala Elkana was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force in 2003.
He added that Elkana holds a Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB), master degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution (MSC), Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA) among other academic qualifications.
He has also attended several courses among which are Leadership Training, Detective Course, Community Policing, Trainee Course, Combat Operation Course, Emergency Management Course, Police Relations Course.
He is a member of the National Institute of Public Relations and also a member of International Association of Chiefs of Police, A Fellow and ICON of Corporate Institute of Adminsitartion.
He has served the force in different capacities notably: – Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Niger, Akwa Ibom and Lagos State Police Commands, respectively.
Orlando added, “I therefore want to thank you all for this rear opportunity of working with you, working with you all have not only been a good experience but also a very rewarding one too, no doubt, I have grown to be a better person through my period in this office. My consolation is that I am leaving you all in safe hands because I know that the new PPRO is such a wonderful person and will do much better.
“I hereby urge you to extend all cooperation and support to the new Public Relations Officer (PPRO), please.”
