Concerned by the plight of the people of Aba, a Constituency under Abia South which Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe represents in the Senate, the Senator representing Abia North, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu has said plans are ongoing to construct the Ariaria road in Aba through his constituency intervention.
While decrying that some lawmakers have been in the Senate in the past 16 years without any visible project in their constituencies, he said the aim of embarking on such a cross-constituency project is to prove that he is out to serve the people of Abia and South East in general irrespective of their constituencies.
The Senate Chief Whip who was in Nkporo, Ohafia local government area of the state on Tuesday flagged off about a 4-kilometer road project as part of his constituency intervention.

He had also assured that early next year, he will commence a water project in Enugu-Nkporo and Etitiama-Nkporo, hometown of the deputy governor of the state, Rt. Hon. Oko Chukwu.
The project which will be first of its kind is expected to end decades of water challenge the deputy governor’s hometown has faced.
