Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 election has rescheduled his campaign rally in Abia State.
According to a press release on Thursday by his Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), obtained by ABN TV, Atiku’s rally earlier scheduled for Tuesday, January 10, has now been moved forward to Monday, January 9.
The statement signed by the Director Media and Publicity, Atiku/Ifeanyi Okowa Presidential Council, Abia State, Kingsley Megwara, did not give reasons for the change in date but simply apologised for any inconveniences it might cause Atiku’s supporters and party faithful.

The venue of the rally remains Umuahia Township Stadium.
Although Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia did not attend the inauguration of the state chapter of the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Council, members of the PCC have vowed to push ahead with the campaign despite the governor’s fraternisation with Governor Nyesom Wike-led G-5 group that has refused to identify with Atiku’s campaigns.
