Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Ogah has congratulated the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chief Ike Nwachukwu as he clocks 80.

ABN TV reports that Ogah expressed gratitude to God that at a milestone age of octogenarian, the elder statesman is still strong and agile, advancing the course of the country at various categories.

In a birthday message to Chief Nwachukwu, a retired military General, the Minister extolled his sense of nationalism, patriotism and commitment for an egalitarian Nigerian society.

While further noting that Chief Ike Nwachukwu stands out in the league of his peers, Ogah added that he has left a footprint of honour, dignity and statesmanship.

“As a servant of the people for years and in various capacities, Gen. Nwachukwu (rtd) has never left anyone in doubt regarding his outstandingly uniqueness, integrity and commitment in the discharge of his functions.

“He has never hid his love for a more united Nigeria where all citizens are given a sense of belonging, where fairness and equity reign supreme. You have inspired many and still plays the father figure to thousands of younger generations.
