At 73: Wabara An Outstanding Leader, Ikpeazu Salutes Ex-Senate President

The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has felicitated with former President of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Adolphus Wabara, GCON on his 73rd birthday today.

Governor Ikpeazu describes Senator Wabara as one of the most outstanding political leaders from Abia State whose political sagacity took Abia to the pinnacle of the Nigerian political firmament, a statement from Gov. Ikpeazu’s Chief Press Secretary, Onyebuchi Ememanka says.

The Governor, he added recalls the political trajectory of Senator Wabara from his days as elected Chairman of Ukwa East Local Government Areas and his steady rise to a Senator and then his emergence as Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Governor Ikpeazu is happy that the Senator has continued to place his rich repertoire of experience in politics and leadership at the disposal of the Government and People of Abia State.

“As current Pro Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Abia State University, Senator Wabara has brought stability to our University and has helped translate the visions of the Governor at the University.
