Members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State have urged the party leadership in the state to ensure that only the authentic list of party executives as contained in the just concluded congress will be acceptable.
ABN TV further gathered from PDP sources within Arochukwu that few stakeholders who were not comfortable with the peace process in which the list of the party executives in the LGA emanated has gone ahead to make their own as against the original copy.
However, in a video that has already gone viral, angry party members have warned that any list contrary to the one which is in the possession of the LGA”s Transition Committee Chairman, Mazi Emmanuel Jideofor Kanu is null and void.
The angry PDP members who gathered at the party’s Secretariat, Arochukwu LGA Headquarters gave strong warnings that the era when serious party men will work tirelessly to win the election and later few inconsequential individuals will hijack the party is over.
They specifically warned former Senator Mao Ohuabuanwa and his loyalists whom they allegedly failed to win for the party in their own polling units, to desist from distracting the current leadership structure of the party led by Mazi Jideofor and Hon. Uko Nkole.
According to one of the angry members, “We reject any other list outside what is with our authentic Chairman, Jideofor and our House of Representatives member, Uko Nkole.
“They’re our leaders and nobody can change that. We’re moving forward. A man that didn’t win his polling unit should leave us alone. Why do you make someone who couldn’t win this polling unit a Commissioner?
“Uko Nkole and Jideofor are the people that will safeguard and lead PDP to the way forward. Mao didn’t win in his polling unit, Okoreaffia didn’t win in his polling unit, Luke Kanu didn’t win his own polling unit.
“We have harmonized and we’ve agreed that anything short of the list that the TC Chairman is holding is null and void and they should forget us come 2023 if they ignore that list.”
