The APC Candidate for House of Representatives, Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, High Chief Daniel Chimezie Okeke has urged the people of the Constituency to vote candidates with outstanding competency and shun those hiding under the cloak of unconstitutional and undemocratic power-sharing formula to promote candidates without excellent track record of leadership.
Chief Daniel Chimezie Okeke who made this statement on new year day while addressing the people of Umuchiakuma Ihechiowa at Umuchiakuma Day Celebration said the people require a focused and people-oriented leadership skills that will set the constituency on the path of progress and not unconstitutional power-sharing permutation that has kept the people backward.
In a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Oti Maduabuchi Orieji, Chief Okeke hailed the people of Ihechiowa for their special show of love and acceptance which led to his chieftaincy title “Enyioma Ihechiowa”.
He described the people of Ihechiowa as peace and progress loving people who have played undeniable roles in the development of Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency and the state at large.
He statement added, “He said leadership should be based on personality, antecedents, and achievements with personal resources. Chief Daniel Okeke on his personal capacity built classroom blocks, built an ICT center, Built Roads, built and donated a customary court for state government, giving scholarships for over 600 students, and empowering over 500 youths and women all with his personal resources.
“Chief Daniel Chimezie Okeke vowed never to disappoint the people of Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal constituency if given the mandate to represent at the Green Chambers come in 2023.
“The event was attended by prominent sons/daughters of Ihechiowa as well as prominent politicians in Abia state. Also,in attendance was Chief Joe Eze Aru a renowned leader from Ihechiowa,who expressed solidarity with Chief Daniel Okeke describing him as a true friend of the people of Ihechiowa, recalling how Chief Daniel Okeke Donated Electricity poles to the people of Uburu Ihechiowa, He rehabilitated/graded the Umuzomgbo to Okpo road and currently working on Umuye Ihechiowa to St Paul Ututu, pleaded with his people of Ihechiowa never to allow any dubious politician to deceive them.
