They had stormed the premises with a van to cart away with their looted items. It was in the process of leaving that they were nabbed by soldiers on routine patrol.

ABN TV gathered that the Abia State government had previously issued a letter, warning the vandals to stay off the property as plans were ongoing to rehabilitate it.

Their arrest follows a tip-off by some hunters who reported to security agencies on the activities of the vandals.

ABN TV learnt that the suspects have been handed over to Zone 9 Police Abia State and they are currently in detention while investigations are ongoing.
