Armed robbers broke into Eleshin at Olomo community in Apete, Ido Local Government Area, Oyo State, and used a Point-of-Sale, POS equipment.
According to PUNCH, the robbers assaulted the neighborhood at about 1 a.m. on Saturday and used the POS gadget to steal money from unsuspecting victims.
It was also discovered that the heinous crime had frightened the entire town, with many fleeing in terror.
“The armed robbers went to the area about midnight around 1 am,” stated one of the residents who did not want his name printed. They were free to operate.
They arrived with POS and moved an amount of money from one of their victims’ accounts that cannot be revealed at this time. They also took an undisclosed sum of money from his wife’s account and fled.
“They also went away with two phones, iPhone 11 Pro Max and XS Max”, a source added.
The incident was reported to the Apete Divisional Police Command.
