The member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia federal constituency Abia State, Hon. Uko Nkole has expressed gratitude over his recognition as fellow Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP).
Speaking with ABN TV shortly after his investiture on Tuesday in Abuja, the lawmaker said he feels honoured and privileged to reach the echelon of his professional career.
Nkole who has spent about 10 years as a town planner added that his recognition came after rigorous test of his professional competence.
He expressed gratitude for being found worthy of fellow of the institute which is the zenith of town planners.
He solicited for amendment of relevant laws to enable town planners to have serious oversight functions overbuilding engineers to checkmate incidences of building collapse.
Hon. Nkole on behalf of other new fellows assured that they will not let the institute down.
He said going forward, they will double their efforts to give the institute a proud of place by upholding standard professional ethics and conduct.
