On Friday, the Court of Appeal in Abuja reversed the tribunal decision that invalidated Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke’s election.
The appellate court, in a unanimous ruling by a three-member panel of Justices, concluded that Adeleke’s appeal against his dismissal by the Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal was meritorious.
Aside from overturning the tribunal’s decision, the court granted N500,000 in costs to the All Progressive Congress, APC, and its candidate, Gboyega Oyetola, in its lead judgment issued by Judge Mohammed Lawal.
