A Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the 2015 and 2019 general elections in Abia State, Chief Sir Chris Nkwonta, has concluded plans to join the All Progressives Congress (APC), the ABN TV can authoritatively reveal.
According to a source, Nkwonta had contacted Sir Marc Wabara, a leader of the APC, and informed him that he would defect to the party before the end of July, 2021.
The source opined that the defection of Chief Nkwonta, who is from Akwete in Ukwa East Local Government Area, would further strengthen the APC in Abia State.
