A Chieftain of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Zamfara State, Mohammed Abubakar has boasted that it will be difficult for the ruling APC to retain power in the state in 2023, following the insecurity and socio-economic challenges facing the people.
In an exclusive interview with reporters in Gusau, Abubakar said the largest number of voters are from the villages where the bandits are ravaging seriously without any intervention of the state government, saying that the locals are tired of the ruling APC government.
“I want to tell you the truth that Zamfara State people are more civilized than ever before. They are all aware of the insecurity and socio-economic challenges facing them due to political mismanagement” he lamented.
He said the ruling APC government is tired and weak, no responsible individual can sacrifices his or her life to vote in a weak and rotten government.
“We have all seen what is happening under the leadership of the so-called APC government and Nigerians are not benefitting anything from the so-called government”
“We are waiting for the 2023 general elections, to see if the fools can fool the fools or whether the fools will coma back to their normal senses”
According to him, Nigerians have been fooled for a long time and need to come back to their senses saying that the ruling APC has no good agenda for Nigerians.
“The narrative must change to give ways for better democratic dividends for the people of the country because we all deserve democratic dividends”
He lamented that the State government placed a ban on campaign activities in the State even when INEC has lifted the ban on political campaigns, saying that the Governor did that only to handicap the PDP in the state because the party is his major challenger.
“But whatever happens, the electorates are the gurus that can decide who becomes what in Nigeria”
“And I want to tell you now that the days of money politics have gone because we are now in the era of good democratic agenda”
