The leadership of APC Professionals Council (APC PC) has lent its support in the call for President Bola Tinubu to consider appointing his Senior Special Assistant SSA (Media) to the position of Special Adviser (Media).

This call came after the immediate past SA to the President, Chief Ajuri Ngelale requested for indefinite leave of absence, which the presidency has since granted.

In a statement on Sunday, the Director General of APC Professionals Council, Dr. Seyi Bamigbade said Rahman possesses the prerequisite qualifications to be the engine room of the President’s public communications.

According to Dr. Bamigbade, Tunde Rahman is a veteran journalist who has over the years served the President as a personal media aide even long before he became the nation’s leader.

Mr Rahman was media aide and chief of staff to Mr Tinubu before his election as the nation’s leader.

A native of Iwo in Osun State, Mr Rahman was political editor of the Daily Times before he moved over to the Punch newspaper where he headed the Abuja bureau of the newspaper and later the group news editor of the paper at its headquarters in Lagos.
