APC NWC Set To Seal Consensus Zoning For NASS Leadership, Summons Meeting

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is preparing to finalize the zoning arrangement for the sharing of presiding officer positions in the upcoming 10th National Assembly, which will convene in June.

According to ABN TV, the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) will meet on Monday, May 8th, to ratify the zoning formula.

The decision follows a meeting between the NWC and President-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, during which a consensus was reached on the sharing of the six offices in each of the National Assembly’s two chambers.

Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the APC National Chairman, announced last Wednesday that the party was considering a consensus arrangement for the leadership of the 10th National Assembly.

He also stated that the party would conduct extensive consultations with the President-elect to ensure that everyone was on the same page.
