APC Leaders Embark On Prayer Over Retrial Of Orji Kalu

Leaders of All Progressives Congress, APC in Ohafia local government area of Abia state have embarked on prayer, seeking divine intercession following the re-arraignment of former governor of the state and Senate Chief, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu.

Recall that Kalu was last week re-arraigned in a federal high court Abuja for allegations bordering on misappropriation of funds during his administration in Abia between 1999-2007.

Recall that the Supreme Court had earlier annulled the 12 years imprisonment handed on the federal lawmaker by a federal high court Lagos division and ordered a fresh trial.

The APC leaders in Ohafia in a statement urged members of the party in the local government to embark on prayer, wondering why Sen. Kalu was re-arraigned after being freed.

The party also called on indigenes and residents of Ohafia local government area to come out en masse and register with the party during the membership registration and revalidation exercise.

The leadership of the party in the local government also commended the state chairman, Chief Donatus Nwankpa for his timely intervention in the affairs of the party it says has strengthened unity and cohesion.
