Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State have unanimously endorsed Hon. Rep. Sam Onuigbo as the party leader in the area following a high-level meeting convened at his residence.

The meeting, held in line with the directive of the Abia State APC leadership led by Hon. Benjamin Kalu, brought together party stakeholders from all ten wards of Ikwuano, underscoring a broad representation of the party’s grassroots structure.

Deliberations at the gathering focused on strengthening unity, fostering cooperation among members, and positioning the party for future political engagements. Speaking during the meeting, Hon. Wisdom Ogbonna urged APC faithful in Ikwuano to remain united and committed to collective progress, stressing that cohesion within the ranks would enhance the party’s chances in forthcoming political activities.

Other party leaders, including Engr. Jack Okwuonu, also addressed stakeholders, encouraging sustained dedication, discipline, and focus toward consolidating the party’s presence in the local government and across Abia State.

The highlight of the meeting was a motion moved by Hon. Ifeanyi Anyiegbu, formally declaring Rep. Onuigbo as the APC leader in Ikwuano Local Government Area. The motion received wide support, with Chidinma Oscar from Aram Ward and Elder Emmanuel Okezie from Oboro Ward seconding the proposal. When put to a voice vote, stakeholders present unanimously endorsed the declaration.

In his response, Rep. Onuigbo expressed profound appreciation to party stakeholders for the confidence reposed in him. He commended members for their unity, loyalty, and unwavering commitment to the growth of the APC in Ikwuano and Abia State, assuring them of inclusive leadership and continued efforts toward strengthening the party’s structure.

The endorsement is seen by party observers as a strategic step toward consolidating APC’s grassroots mobilization and internal cohesion ahead of future political contests in the state.
