The General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, Nigeria, Rev. Pastor Ejikeme Ejim bowed out of service on Tuesday.
The GS retired alongside the Church’s Treasurer, Rev. Dr. Vincent Alaje.
A ceremony to mark the end of their service was held at the International Conference Centre of the Assemblies of God, Okpoto, Ebonyi State, with Rev. Frimpong Manso, Rtd. General Superintendent, Ghana as the guest Speaker.
ABN TV learnt that the two church leaders were born in the same month of November.
Born in 1952, they were also both called to the Ministry same year 1979, attended same Bible School, and graduated same day 1981.
They grew in the ministry and became General Council Officers.
In March 2020, Rev. Ejike took over from Rev. Dr. Chidi Okoroafor as the Acting General Superintendent of the Church.
In August same year, he was confirmed the substantive General Superintendent by the General Committee of the Assemblies of God Nigeria.
Ejim was praised at the event for bringing peace and stability to the Church.
