Another Nollywood Actor Rich Oganiru Is Dead

Popular Nollywood actor, Rich Oganiru is dead.

The Owerri-born actor, who has featured in over 300 movies reportedly died on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 after an undisclosed illness.

Prior to his death, a video went viral on social media showing Oganiru lying in his sickbed and begging for financial assistance.

“Please, everyone should reach out before he dies,” the caption on the post reads.

Friends have taken to social media to mourn his demise.

Back in 2012, the Nollywood actor, who starred in numerous movies, was arrested for allegedly murdering his wife.

According to news reports at the time, Oganiru was arrested following a petition by the family and relations of his late wife who claimed that she was poisoned by the actor so that he could acquire her wealth.

Mr Oganiru has maintained his innocence and said on numerous occasions that he never killed his multimillionaire wife.

Oganiru who was the corporate marketing consultant to the Abuja chapter of Actors Guild of Nigeria has featured in movies like Queen of Hasso Rock, Wasted Effort, Pay Day, Lacrima, Stoneface in Love, Givers Never Lack, His Majesty, Yellow Fe Rich Odichinma Azu ver, My Destiny, Battle Of The Rich, Political Control, Touching Love, Total Control, Last Confession as well as many others.
